FORT MYERS
As of Thursday at 7 a.m., there have been 47,471 positive cases of the coronavirus (COVID-19) in Florida. The case count includes 46,197 Florida residents and 1,274 non-Florida residents. There are 2,096 deaths reported and 8,681 hospitalizations, according to the Florida Department of Health.
There have been 772,669 tests administered in Florida. A total of 47,471 tests have come back positive, and 723,877 tests have come back negative. The remainder are still pending, according to the FDOH website.
The state has also released a list of long-term care facilities where cases have been reported.

Total in SWFL: 3,322 (up from 3,248)
Deaths: 200 (up from 193)
- 74 total new cases reported Wednesday
- 7 total new deaths reported Wednesday
Lee County: 1,542 (up from 1,520) – 89 deaths
Collier County: 1,058 (up from 1,030) – 40 deaths
Charlotte County: 398 (up from 392) – 51 deaths (7 new deaths)
DeSoto County: 80 (up from 69) – 7 deaths
Glades County: 16 (up from 13) – 1 death
Hendry County: 228 (up from 224) – 12 deaths
